CNI Spring 2025 Membership Meeting

Keith Webster was appointed Dean of University Libraries at Carnegie Mellon in July 2013 and to the additional role of Director of Emerging and Integrative Media Initiatives two years later. In 2021 he was awarded the Helen and Henry Posner Jr Dean's Chair at CMU. He is a Professor in the University’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Policy. Keith has served as a Dean of Libraries in major research universities in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Other senior roles include Vice President and Director of Academic Relations and Strategy for John Wiley and Sons and Director of Information Policy at HM Treasury In London. Keith serves on the CNI Steering Committee and was formerly Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Information Standards Organization. He holds both Chartered and Honorary Fellowships of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals. Keith is also a professional futurist and is a member of the Association of Professional Futurists.
